Breast Augmentation Aesthetics

The breasts, which are considered as a symbol of femininity, including in mythologies, can sometimes be disproportionate and small compared to the body.

Loss of breast size can occur due to age, pregnancy, breastfeeding and breast cancer. In these cases, breast augmentation surgery can be performed to change breast size. However, like other aesthetic procedures, the demands of the people who want to undergo the procedure play a major role in the results of the operation.

Breast Augmentation Techniques

There are various types of prosthesis for breast augmentation.

A silicone shell is placed on the body and then filled to the desired size with saline solution by the plastic surgeon. Saline has the consistency of water. Under thin skin, the wrinkles of the saline implant can be seen or felt more often. This condition is also known as implant "rippling" or "wrinkling." The benefit of the saline implant is that it can be adapted postoperatively through a remote injection port. This method is commonly used in some breast reconstruction procedures to fine-tune the exact implant size months before removal of the implant port.

Filled with gel-like silicone, this type of prosthesis creates a natural breast feeling with its texture and appearance, and the prosthesis is less likely to be visible from the outside. Moreover, it does not cause allergies and sensitivity in the area. Silicone implants are suitable for people aged 22 and over. Silicone prostheses, which vary in terms of shape, function and surface structure, each have different features. These features carry some advantages and disadvantages in themselves. In order to prevent the patient from having a negative experience, the doctor will make the silicone selection by being detailed.

Round Silicone Prostheses
The saline-containing silicone filler, which can solve problems caused by sagging, is generally suitable for women with empty upper breasts. The breast will look like it is supported by a bra. If drop silicone prosthesis is used in women who do sports such as swimming, tennis and volleyball, it may cause slipping and rotation and create an asymmetrical appearance.

Drop (Anatomical) Silicone Implants
Drop (anatomical) silicone prostheses, which are preferred for people with low weight and almost no breast tissue, are effective in achieving a natural appearance. In addition, this type of prosthesis also makes the nipple look lifted.

Silicone fillers are divided into two as Smooth Surface and Rough Surface Breast Implants according to their surface properties. Your surgery will help you choose the best filler type.

It is possible to make the breast fuller with the fat transfer procedure, also known as non-surgical breast augmentation. This procedure involves injecting the fat taken from any part of the body that is rich in fat into the breast by enriching it with stem cells. Injecting the fat provides volume in the breast, while the fat removal process eliminates the problem of regional adiposity. Since the person's own fat is used during the procedure, it is possible to achieve very healthy and natural results.
However, 40% or 50% of the transferred fat will remain for life. If deemed necessary, the same procedure can be repeated after a while. After the procedure, there is no loss of sensation in the nipple and people do not experience any problems in terms of breastfeeding.
