FUE hair transplantation is performed by the surgeon extracting healthy and more durable hair follicles from their areas and making incisions with a specially manufactured punch tool. The collected hair follicles are placed in previously opened channels in the shedding areas of the beard.

Until recent years, the FUE technique was the most preferred beard transplant operation. It has lost its popularity due to the new hair transplantation techniques developed and the problems that may arise from the FUE method. DHI and FUE beard transplantation methods do not involve cutting strips or pieces of skin from the donor area to obtain roots.
