Neck Lifting Techniques

Neck lift surgery is an operation in which special procedures are used and the surgeon determines the method in line with the needs and wishes of the patients.

Incisions will be made under the chin to hide any scars that may occur. After the incisions are made, the skin on the neck will be lifted so that the underlying fat can be seen. The exposed fat will be removed with liposuction. After liposuction, the muscles under the skin of the neck will be brought together tightly with sutures.

The excess skin will be removed with incisions called Z technique. In this way, the corners of the skin will be flattened and reunited.

Platysmaplasty is the process of reconstructing the muscles in the neck. The surgery is performed to regenerate the neck and the area under the chin. During the operation, scars are made under the chin to reduce their visibility. While excess fat is removed with endoscopic materials, the loosened platysma muscles are reduced and tightened with sutures.

Platysmaplasty makes the aging appearance in the neck controllable and is therefore recommended for patients in their forties and fifties.

Cervicoplasty is the removal of excess skin on the chin and neck. Lidocaine and epiferin solutions are used in the surgical area to make it easier to remove fat cells. Incisions called the Z technique will be used in the surgery. A small probe will then be used to remove the fat.

Cervicoplasty is not recommended for patients with obvious signs of aging and a neck with excess fat. The main reason for this is that Cervicoplasty is a minimally invasive method.
